Ozankoy village is in the fertile strip between the Kyrenia mountain range - where crusader castles offer exhilarating visits and stunning views, and the blue water of the Mediterranean sea. There is lots to see and do during your stay in Northern Cyprus, from visiting the markets of Kyrenia, Famagusta and Lefkosa, Go-Karting and Paintballing to a more peaceful visit to the Bellapais Abbey or a walk along Alagadi Turtle Beach. At certain times of the year, you can stay on the beach with a group of conservationists and watch the baby turtles hatching as well as the 4ft green turtles walking up the beach to lay their eggs. There are many mountain castles to explore, or why not explore the ocean by going Scuba Diving, or for the less adventurous a relaxing stroll along the pretty, quiet and unspoilt beaches of the Karpaz? North Cyprus has something to offer for everyone. Take a visit to the local shops in Ozankoy, or for a wider shopping experience you can visit Kyrenia town centre. Barter at the markets and negotiate the very best prices in the shops in Kyrenia town centre. There are so many things to do in North Cyprus - you can take a visit along to the turtle beach where you can meet the baby turtle, there is also an aquapark water park in case you fancy more than just a dip in the pool. Why not take a romantic stroll along the beach, just as the sun is setting? The fort at the end of the harbour in Kyrenia is well worth a visit. English is widely spoken in most shops and restaurants and Sterling is as acceptable as Lira (TL). You are best to buy your Lira in one of the exchange bureau's in any of the town centres in Northern Cyprus, as you get the best exchange rates. | |
